  • Working English, async communication, reliable response time.
  • Comfortable on a video call interview and a paid trial brief.
Hiring process

What to expect step by step

    Application

    Send your portfolio and the names + contact of 5 authors who can vouch for you.

  2. 2

    NDA

    We sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive. Your references are never disclosed to other authors.

  3. 3

    Interview

    30–45 minute video call with the founding team. We ask about specific past launches and how you solved them.

  4. 4

    Paid trial brief

    A small, scoped, paid assignment so we can see how you work. No spec work.

  5. 5

    Offer + onboarding

    If both sides are happy, you join the team as a named specialist with your own page on this site.

We sign an NDA before you share portfolios or references. Your work is yours.

No spec work

Trial briefs are paid. If we want to see how you work, we pay for the time.

Common questions

Why do you need 5 author references?

Because our entire model is based on accountable specialists. Anyone can claim experience; references are how we verify it. We treat every reference as confidential and never share their contact with other authors.

Are you hiring full-time, contract, or both?

Both. Most specialists start contract for their first 90 days, then move into a long-term role if the fit is right.

Do you work remotely?

Yes — the entire team is remote. We coordinate via WhatsApp, Slack, and async video updates.

What if I'm a strong generalist?

We hire specialists, not generalists. If you do five things at a 6/10, that's not a fit. If you do one thing at a 9/10 — KDP, BookTok, ARC, design, ads, or distribution — we want to talk.
